How the Publication Began

Kalnore Review grew from a straightforward observation: the majority of writing about yoga practice tends to occupy one of two registers — promotional copy for studio classes or prescriptive instruction guides. Neither functions well as a record of what the practice actually involves, sequenced across weeks and months, for someone new to it.

The publication was established in 2024 with a single working brief: document the mechanics of yoga and daily stretching with the same observational precision that other editorial publications bring to architecture, food, or craft. That means detailed notation of posture sequences, recorded observations on joint mobility and breath work, and candid acknowledgement of what is genuinely difficult at the beginner stage.

Every article in the archive is produced by a named writer, reviewed by a second editor, and sourced against published biomechanics research where applicable. No anonymous content, no undisclosed commercial relationships.

The Standards That Govern Every Entry

01
Named Authorship

Every article carries a named author. Anonymous content is not accepted. Writers are identified by their experience level and relevant background in movement practice.

02
Two-Stage Editorial Review

Each article is reviewed by a second editor before publication. Factual statements about anatomy or posture mechanics are checked against independently published reference sources.

03
Source Transparency

Where an article draws on published research or documented biomechanics literature, the source is cited. Generalised claims without supporting reference are flagged for revision before publication.

04
Disclosure of Commercial Relationships

Writers are required to declare any commercial arrangement that could influence subject selection. These disclosures are appended at the base of the relevant article.

05
Correction Policy

Factual corrections are applied promptly and noted with the date of amendment at the foot of the article. No corrections are made without acknowledgement.

06
Scope Boundaries

Kalnore Review documents everyday wellness practices in the yoga and movement space. Content is editorial in nature and does not constitute professional advice of any kind.

Harriet Marsden
Guest Writer  ·  Movement Routine

Harriet writes on flexibility training and joint mobility, with a particular interest in the practical modifications available to beginners. She documents her own progression across seated and standing sequences with characteristic precision.

Precision in observation is the only honest starting point for writing about practice. Everything else follows from what is actually documented.
